Public Forum
Members of the public listed on the Parish Electoral Register are invited to address the Council on any issue concerning the Parish.
5. Confirmation and signing of minutes of Parish Council Meetings on 11 March 2025
6. Declarations of Interest
- Register of Interests: councillors are reminded of the need to update their register of interests.
- To declare any Disclosable Pecuniary Interests in items on the agenda and their nature.
- To declare any Other Disclosable Interests in items on the agenda and their nature.
councillors who have declared a Disclosable Pecuniary Interest, or an Other Disclosable Interest, which falls with the terms of paragraph 12(4)(b) of the Code of Conduct and who have not been granted a Dispensation, must leave the room for the relevant items.
Failure to register or declare a Disclosable Pecuniary Interest may result in the commission of a criminal offence.
- To consider written requests from councillors for the council to grant a dispensation (section 33 of the Localism Act 2011). Written requests to be with the clerk at least four clear days prior to a meeting.

Councillors; Mr Derek Killingworth (Chairman), Mrs Hilary Baxter, Mr Doug Hine, Mr John Aston & Mrs Pauline Hill.
In attendance:
Mr S Clee (Clerk) & Councillor Robin Drew
Election of chairman
Councillor Derek Killingworth it was proposed and seconded and agreed that Councillor Killingworth be the new Chairman for 2025-2026. The Chairman thanked outgoing Chairman Mrs Pauline Hill for her previous four years as Chairman. The Council agreed to defer the election of Vice Chairman until its July meeting.
490 Confirmation of the last parish meeting minutes:
The minutes of the last meeting held on 11 March 2025 as previously circulated were approved and signed by the Chairman.
491 Declaration of Interest for a) The Meeting and b) Any changes to be notified to the Registers of Interests and Gifts and Hospitality.
- None declared.

492 Public participation
There was none.
493 Planning matters:
The Council noted the current list of Planning Applications approved and pending by Wyre Forest District Council.
494 County and district reports:
Councillor Drew presented the County & District reports as circulated to all members yesterday. Particular reference was made to the Parish Poll held on the County Council Election Day 1st May 2025 when Kidderminster Town Council had requested to take two parts of our Parish out of our Boundary into their own. It was clearly against the wishes of our parishioners, and the request was heavily defeated. Council noted similar requests for similar land with other parishes around Kidderminster were also unsuccessful. A discussion followed about thanking our residents in Kittiwake Drive this turned into a discussion about a possible Parish Newsletter. Council decided to discuss this further at our next meeting in July 2025.
495 Appointment od representatives
St Marys PCC – Councillor Derek Killingworth. West Mercia Police – Councillor Doug Hine.
CALC Representative to Wyre Forest Area Committee – Chairman or Vice Chairman.
496 Finances:
- It was noted the bank balance currently stands at £32,289.50 (Current Account) and £15,353.19 (Reserve Account). The Clerk recommended we transfer £10,000.00 to our reserve account this was agreed.
- The council noted the current income and expenditure spreadsheets circulated with the agenda.
- It was agreed for the Chairman to sign the Annual Statement of Accounts 2024-2025.
497 Date of the next meeting:
There being no other business the meeting ended at 7.36pm. The next meeting will take place on Tuesday 8 July 2025 at Stone Parish Rooms. Cllr Baxter announced today would be her last meeting as she was retiring from Council tonight. The Council thanked her for many years’ of loyal service to our community.
